Expert review of DIG
Housed in the now converted St. Saviour’s Church, this family attraction offers kids the chance to get their hands dirty in this fully interactive learning experience. An insight into the work done by archaeologists in and around York, this lively experience gives the chance to rummage around excavation pits, explore the recreated labs and archaeological workspaces. There’s a 3D film presentation and around the corner is the ongoing Hungate excavation which for an extra £1.00 per person can be included in the overall experience.
Adults £5.50, children and concessions £5.00 (Under 5’s free), family tickets from £18.50.
Keep your ticket once entry has been paid and you can return as many times as you like during the following 12 months.
Accepts Yorkshire and YAT passes (See the Sights and attractions section on my York insider tips page for more details).
