Expert review of Times Square
It’s a thrill but too overwhelming for some.
Not a square at all, and also no longer home to the New York Times, Times Square is in fact the messy intersection of Broadway and 7th Avenue with 42-47th Streets, and home to most of New York’s major Broadway theatres. If you’re looking to score discounted tickets to a show at the last minute, check the TKTS booth now housed under a sweeping shiny red staircase in the middle of 47th Street. For some people the area perfectly captures the energy of New York. For others, like me, it’s way too crowded, especially at rush hour.
