Expert review of Sea kayaking from Dubrovnik
Ideal for exploring islands, bays and sea caves, kayaking is an increasingly popular sport. It also does wonders for your torso. Adriatic Kayak Tours run half-day kayaking trips to the tiny green island of Lokrum, departing from Sveti Jakov beach, east of the old town, close to Villa Dubrovnik. Intended for complete beginners (and kids from 12 upwards), these trips are easy and fun and guided by an expert – you’ll paddle a total of 5 km and have time to swim, snorkel and explore Lokrum’s botanical garden. AKT also offer slightly more strenuous full-day kayaking tours round the Elafiti islands, with some 10-15 km of paddling. The ‘Pedal and Paddle’ tour of Lopud and Šipan combines kayaking and cycling. You will be provided with all the necessary kayaking, snorkelling and cycling gear.
The half-day trip to Lokrum is 275 kunas. The full-day tours cost 400 kunas.
