Best for Escapists - Expert review of IMMA Irish Museum of Modern Art
Modern art in a 17th-century building with beautiful gardens looking across Dublin.
The last time I visited here, there was three inches of snow on the ground and the museum courtyard and its extensive gardens were as beautiful as the breathtaking collection of Irish art inside. Just a few minutes drive from the city centre, IMMA really is a fabulous way to pass a few hours in quiet contemplation where you can be inspired by great Irish artists such as Jack B Yeats and Louis Lebroquy amongst other fantastic modern collections.
