Expert review of St Fagans National History Museum
Ever wanted to know how Welsh people lived in the Iron Age? Or what tools they used to live? How would you like to see a medieval church, one that’s been painstaking moved brick by brick from Swansea to St Fagans to live on in posterity? Or maybe you’d like mooch through time as you visit six houses that depict traditional homes and gardens between 1805 to 1985?
I’ve been visiting St Fagans since I was a kid and I’ve never tired of it. Immersive history with authenticity and added animals, art and woodland, it’s a fine outing for couples and families alike. Apparently it's the second most visited open air museum in Europe!
Like all museums in Wales, it’s free!
