Expert review of Monte Christo
Fine Italian dining in elegant surroundings.
Another of the south's most popular restaurants, Monte Christo looks nothing from outside so I was pleasantly surprised to discover a stylish interior and excellent Italian cuisine.
Food and drink:
It's classic Italian with a good choice of antipasti, pasta, rice and meat dishes. With pizzas and plenty of vegetarian choices on the menu, this is a good one to keep the whole family happy. There is a disappointing wine list with few local labels.
Ambience:
It's nformal and friendly with lots of holidaymakers, many of whom seem to be regular returners.
Service:
The staff are attentive and friendly.
Location:
It's in a lower level local (business unit) set back from a fairly busy road and a five-minute walk from Playa Fañabé.
Price advice:
It's on the high side for Tenerife but compares reasonably with others of its quality in Costa Adeje. Three courses without drinks averages 40 euros.

Visited Monte Christo late December and found them to be very friendly .The pasta was superb and the complementary schnapps was a nice touch.Will definately return!!
