Best for Value for money - Expert review of Amoret Apartments
There are only two hotels in the UNESCO-listed Old Town, and they’re rather pricey. If you’re on a budget and still want to sleep within the medieval walls, I’d recommend these nicely decorated, cosy, low-cost apartments, each sleeping two. You’ll find them down quaint stone side streets with cats, window boxes, and washing hanging out, so you’ll really feel like a local.
In three separate locations, all just off Placa, the main thoroughfare in Dubrovnik’s pedestrian-only Old Town. All the city’s main cultural attractions are within a 10-minute walk.
There are now 13 apartments. Each one consists of a bedroom with parquet flooring and early 20th-century wooden furniture, a kitchenette with a table and two chairs, and a tiled bathroom with shower. You also get a safe, air conditioning, satellite-TV and free WiFi. So as to avoid the stairs, guests with impaired mobility should request a ground floor apartment.

No real public areas, but the marble staircases leading up to the apartments are clean and welcoming, and decorated with pot plants and framed mirrors.
Each apartment has a basic kitchenette with two electric hot plates, fridge and sink.
None, but the nearest beach is just a five-minute walk away, and there's plenty to do in the area.
The owner, Branka, is warm and attentive, speaks good English, and is happy to help guests with local advice.
